Achromous-Curvaceous-I'M FLABulous


 Good day.
 

So, I had a good day. Random day, yes, but good day.

After I woke up after a short sleep, a couple of hours later I met up with my friend who is awesome, T*. She is the one that I met in January when I was late at the Rec. She's an awesome person and I love her company. We just click- I feel like I have known her my whole life. Very natural. So she made my day (as she always does when I see her).

I swam for 70 minutes. It was rough, but I did it. I got out not knowing that my legs were that bad (they were not good BEFORE hence why I didn't run with the Bro and Bud2 (he's jumped on the bandwagon) and swam instead). I felt like a baby calf!!!

Breakfast:

banana (100 cals; 1 pt)
milk (90 cals; 2 pts)
fiber 1 (170; 2 pts)

Snack:

Special K protein bar (180; 3 pts)

Lunch:

Juice stop (250 cals; 4 pts)

Snack:

Special K protein bar (180; 3 pts)

Then I swam for 70 minutes (40 labs!!!!!!!)

Supper:

Applebees Chicken fajita rollup (650 cals; 13 pts)
fries (300 cals; 7)
bbq sauce (100; 2)

Grand total of 2010 calories minus roughly 600 calories to total 1410 calories. (30 pts)

I know I can just add to the old one, but whatever...

I forgot to say that I ran into an old (foreign) student of mine at the rec tonight and we got to talking and she said "Did you know that you look a lot smaller?" and I said THANK YOU! And she said she didn't say it to offend me and I SAID HECK NO!

Yipee!

And so I ate another chicken breast that I had prepared for the lab w/ the rest of the green beans. Then Bud1 and 2 decided to go to Jimmy John's and I said "sure". I thought I got the most healthy item (besides the unwiches--- lettuce wrap) and I am a carb-y so... I got the slim 6 which is bread and provolone. It's a whopping 600 cals and 9 grams of fat. I guess I solved my 600 calorie problem! haha. --- but ONE SERVING of mayo there is 230 cals and 25 g of FAT! WOWZA!

Well, it's funny because since I JUST ate it I AM STARVING! How can this be??



Another interesting fact that I found was that if you are an active person (who regularly works out and weight trains) that you should eat about 0.55-0.73 % of your body weight in grams of protein. I figure I ate about 140g today, which MIGHT be over doing it because under that percentage I should consume 100-140g per day. Too much causes stress on the kidneys and actually can be stored as fat (not muscle) and too little will cause you to feel fatigued and not have healthy muscle growth. Just thought you might want to know.

 Oh, yeah, feel the burn!!
 

So... the bro and I went out at 6 again. This time we didn't run the trails but we ran the track. As he said yesterday when I said sorry for being slow and he said don't worry about it, "I am a guy and a bad-ass". Okay... lol. I guess he is. I will explain shortly. We warmed up w/ a half miler then I did 10 x 100m sprints with 100m jogs in between and after number five I walked 200 (so I ran the first sprints on the curves and the last half on the straights). [He did *timed* 200m sprints. Yeah, no thanks.] Then we cooled down with a half miler.

Then to abs. And I decided I would branch off and do some weights. I am super bad at being consistent with leg lifting without guidance, but I went off my old trainer's weight sheet and I did select few. I don't know WHY but I decided to do everything that will hurt tomorrow and ALL different muscles! ha. Sumo squats (3x15), hip abduction/adduction (3x15), leg press (3x15), hamstring machine (3x10), and quad machine (3x15). Whew I probably won't be able to get up in the morning, but I plan on WORKING THROUGH THE BURN AND PAIN AND STILL WORKING OUT TOMORROW.

I don't think I am eating enough, though. I had fiber1 cereal for breakfast with a banana and skim milk (400 cals, 4 pts); a special K protein bar (180 cals; 3 pts); Amy's cheese pizza pocket (okay, ANYONE would love these - they are organic, meat, poultry, fish, egg-free packaged food --- which, btw I am trying to limit myself to one per day because of the sodium; 310 cals, 6 pts); banana (100 cals; 2 pts); chicken breast (120 cals, 2 pts); green beans (40 cals, ZERO pts!); after workout supplement (200 cals; 4 pts)... for a grand total of 1350 cals and 21 pts WITHOUT my 700 calorie workout... so that is 650... does that mean I have to cram in another 550 calories to stay within the 1200 MINIMUM calories for females. AND I have had such a problem with trying to figure out how much I should consume... I have done some searching online and it says that I should eat about 2250 cals to maintain my weight AT A SEDENTARY lifestyle. I am confused, so I guess I should just see what happens this week, huh?! If anyone has some advice to give, please do!

I woke up this morning so SORE. I don't even know what to tell you! I think today will be a light day...

AND my new trainer (BUMMER THAT MY OLD ONE IS GONE FOR THE SUMMER) called last night. I need to call him back and rearrange a time. I am nervous. a) it's a guy b) it's a new experience.

 Whew! [In a good way!!]
 

Just got done with another run with Brosef. I kept up with him for about 15 minutes, then I couldn't keep up. That's okay, I ran it and that is the main point. I got my butt out there again on an 85-90 F day... I don't run well in the heat. But I did it! I had to run over two huge bridges but the only time I walked was DOWN one for about 4 minutes... of a total of 50 min. run. I would say NOT BAD. WAY BETTER THAN YESTERDAY! So, I am relieved, happy AND rejuvenated!!! I am pretty much giving myself a pat on the back.

As we were running, I said "I am sorry I slow you down." He said there you go again with that great self-esteem. I said well I hate that feeling. He said don't (can you tell I really annoy my bro?) and then I said well if it doesn't bother you I won't let it bother me. Then I said just don't call me fat, and we're good. lol. Then he brought up something that had completely skipped my mind. [One labmate of mine made some comment like that (he's "American") and I nearly punched him then went the other direction and walked away. Apparently, Bro said WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?! I guess he had NO CLUE on HOW he was saying it.] Then he said, you know ***** I am not like that. True.

So YAY I feel good, although I think my legs will be killing me, especially the front of the upper leg right above the knee. The best is when those muscles really develop and define. Can't wait!!
