Whew, I am exhausted.
So I was all ready to "buckle down" after teaching... but teaching went an hour late, then I was ravenous (left my breakfast on the table - sad), then I saw two of my previous students. It's students like these that make me love TAing, wish there were more of them! Then I ran. I am doing my sprints on Thursday and wanted to get my tempo run in. I was supposed to do 3-4 or something like that, but being the masochist that I am, I wanted to do more... I mean I did three on my tempo run last week, so I can do more, right? I ran SIX miles AT THE SAME SPEED THROUGHOUT (it is SO much tougher than it sounds). You have to map out what speed you can think you can do THROUGH THE WHOLE RUN! I was really good at my tempo. AND I didn't run on a treadmill

. I ran SIX miles on TEMPO. I freakin' rocked it. I ran about 12.5 min miles (not so hot), but I did it--- WITHOUT STOPPING! And it's slow and steady wins the race, right?! I am excited about that, let me tell you. My hr monitor states that my "calories out" was 975. I KNOW I didn't eat enough today, but I am really not hungry. BAD, huh? The grossest thing was I didn't shower right after my run, so I get home and I had salt on my face. Always shower right after, so that has NEVER happened before.
