Through the Eyes of Imperfection


 J's "Super Short-Short"
 

(If any of you know where that is from, I freakin' love you!)

1. I had yummmmmmy choc cake at the Cracker Barrel Friday.
2. I had the quesidilla burger at Applebees with Fries/ BBQ sauce (omg(osh) it was SO unbelievable).
3. I had Chinese on Sunday.
4. I missed working out Wednesday.
5. I missed working out Friday.
6. Met w/ my trainer on Thursday for a short sprint workout (yet 400 cals!!)
7. Have slept seven hours of sleep in the last two nights (horrible insomnia on Sunday).
8. I am done with my seminar... I feel relieved but disappointed at the same time... with all my work I devoted to it, I got a B/B+ (depending on my participation the rest of the semester). It sucks. It's really that bittersweet feeling that I despise. It makes my heart ache. Weird.
9. I have no drive to do anything but sit on the couch for the time-being.
10. I met with my trainer yesterday for an hour (640 cals!), today for a half an hour, tomorrow for an hour. I have officially been FINI with four weeks of training! I missed three total workouts, so not bad, esp. during seminar time.
11. I haven't written in my food log for about 9 days...
12. I have roughly stayed 1-2 pounds over my current low, so I would say that's not bad, either...

SO, the GOODS and the BADS with life... all in a short period of time for me.

I will try to write more this week... sorry for the lapse.

I have been staying the same weight this week as last week, but I spiked a couple of days ago, so I am okay with it. I met with my trainer for a half an hour today... she kicked my butt. ha. It was awesome. I burned approx. 400 calories. yay (in a 35 min session). alright, I don't have time for much more, but I will say that I got a compliment today that I was lookin' skinny... Made me feel good. Thanks, DG for giving me chocolate, thanks my "family" for the mail, thanks MKC for saying if she DID get me chocolate it would be the fat free low calorie with 10 grams of fiber kind so it would be minus points. ha! Isn't that hilarious?! And she must know me, huh?! Have a happy Valentine's Day... show someone how much you care (and how will I do that?! spend my time doing my seminar at a coffee shop...)

I felt a blister on my right foot coming on at around mile three... still ran. It kills right now... the boyfriend was really upset that I didn't stop.

Reeaaalllllly, can't help myself. Sick, huh?

 Bushed...
 

Whew, I am exhausted.

So I was all ready to "buckle down" after teaching... but teaching went an hour late, then I was ravenous (left my breakfast on the table - sad), then I saw two of my previous students. It's students like these that make me love TAing, wish there were more of them! Then I ran. I am doing my sprints on Thursday and wanted to get my tempo run in. I was supposed to do 3-4 or something like that, but being the masochist that I am, I wanted to do more... I mean I did three on my tempo run last week, so I can do more, right? I ran SIX miles AT THE SAME SPEED THROUGHOUT (it is SO much tougher than it sounds). You have to map out what speed you can think you can do THROUGH THE WHOLE RUN! I was really good at my tempo. AND I didn't run on a treadmill . I ran SIX miles on TEMPO. I freakin' rocked it. I ran about 12.5 min miles (not so hot), but I did it--- WITHOUT STOPPING! And it's slow and steady wins the race, right?! I am excited about that, let me tell you. My hr monitor states that my "calories out" was 975. I KNOW I didn't eat enough today, but I am really not hungry. BAD, huh? The grossest thing was I didn't shower right after my run, so I get home and I had salt on my face. Always shower right after, so that has NEVER happened before. GROSS-Y...

Okay, I need a lot of prayers for this seminar!

Calories In: 1510 (after I MADE myself eat 350 calories of a South Beach Living).

So, I thought I would share a recipe........

Do you like onion rings?

I do! I honestly like these "homemade" ones better than any others.

You take an onion and cut it to sizes you prefer for onion rings. Then you take either egg beaters, milk, or water and dip the onion in it. Then you coat it with bread crumbs. Depending on the bread crumbs you buy, it's TWO POINTS FOR THE WHOLE RECIPE! Bake it at 400 for 15 minutes, flip and bake for another 15 (or until crispy).

Try it, it's delish!
