Through the Eyes of Imperfection

My food diary for the day...
Back to Full Blog

I think I actually did *okay*!

No breakfast ... bad, I know!

Lunch:

S. Beach "Living" Pizza 360 cals, 13 g fat, 31 g protein (!), 8 g fiber, roughly 8 pts.
Watermelon (a lot of it)
H2O

"snack": "No fun latte" as they called it (no fat, sugar free, decaf latte), 100 cals, 0 fat, 0 fiber

Supper: Kashi "7 Whole Grains on a Mission" (lol) Pasta Pesto Primavera (say that 3x fast). 290 cals, 11 g fat, 7 g fiber, 11 g protein
Corn (leftovers from yesterday - took off the cob ! yum!!), 100 cals, 1 g fat, 6 g fiber, 5 g protein. I mixed it in w/ the Kashi and it was SO good!!
More watermelon. Prob. 4 servings of it today lol (love it), maybe 200 cals, 4 g fat, 4 g fiber, 4 g protein.

Totals for today:
cals: 1050
Fat: 29
Fiber: 25
Protein: 50

Ironically that is about 24 points... I think I am going to have a muffin tonight at the coffee shop. ??

And I have an apple that I think I will eat now... I am hungry!

Do you hafta' figure in sugars? I note that it's not listed. I don't really do a lot of label reading,..for the most part what is in this house is "safe" to eat (with exceptions here and there.) but I do note that when things look to good to be true, I have but to look at sugars and that's where they getcha' even when everything else looks 'safe' and healthy...grrr!

I say most things are safe...sometimes a cookie or two or ice cream will come into the house...last night we had strawberry shortcake etc.. but even then, we find ways to make it as healthy as we can and still make it taste GOOD!

I'm afraid and I am NOT proud but my first born was an overweight kid (not like Jessica mind you!) But the point was at 2 she was 40 and at 3 she was 50, 4 she was 60 and then while she stayed a bit overweight, she also leveled out to a certain extent...but through out her life, she's never been trim and healthy. I blame ME and my pediatrician once said,.."well Mrs. K., if it's NOT in the house, she can't eat it."

I wish I could go back in time and do things right by her. I did things right with the next two but when I left the household, my ex didn't do such a good job monitoring the food intake of his son and he would degrade my youngest daughter (way to go DAD!) So now I have them up here each summer and I have 9-10 weeks to undue what he's done.

ARGH!

So...we keep it pretty healthy by...not bringing it into the house!

Well anyway...back to you....

HAPPY FITNESS THURSDAY Ms. FITPHAT!

PS)I'd like to see little Jessica now but I can't make heads or tails of the "code"...any help? Site suggestion...nothing I punch in takes me to her latest look...only those sad videos of her as a young one.
